CHANEL SPRING 2012 MAKE-UP COLLECTION
SPRING HARMONY
IN THE FRESHNESS OF DAWN AND THE SOFTNESS
OF SUNSET
The first light of dawn, streaked with pink clouds in hazy
contours.
A superb, red-toned sky above the rooftops at sunset.
In spring, the light – whether radiant or thrilling – offers its
changing moods to the most capricious of seasons. A harmony
of shimmering colours that trace new horizons with the promise
of finer days ahead.
Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Make Up, has
translated into colours the exhilarating blend of pure air and
softness so distinctive of spring.
For this makeup collection, all shades of pink, coral and peach
adorn the lips, cheeks and fingertips, capturing the changing
moods of spring.
On a whim, the lips choose the sparkle of gloss, the insouciant
charm of lipshine or the elegance of a satiny lipstick. Fresh or
sun-kissed, the cheekbones set off the purity of the complexion,
whilst the eyes are cloaked in luminous nude tones or succumb
to the fantasy of amber flecked with gold.
Punctuating the entire Makeup Collection, the glow of garnet
is a reminder that the better weather also brings a breath of
sensuality. In an elegant contrast to the pastels and bright
notes, it coats the nails with a touch of timeless femininity.
Swept over the lips or as a wash on the eyelids, highlighted
with atonal eyeliner, it reveals all the seduction of its
ambiguous shade.
