THE NEW TRUSSARDI DONNA PINK MARINA EDT

It is the perfect moment of a day at the beach, when the sand is warm but not scorching hot and the sun is about to set, slowing sinking into the sea. One notes different aromas of fruit, flowers and fragrant woods in the light breeze arriving by land. A gust of wind from the sea with its distinctive scent is suddenly added to this pleasant balance. Everything turns pink and muted while the waves gently lap up against the shore. It seems to be an enchanted place like Budelli Beach on the Maddalena archipelago, world-famous for its pink sand, or the beach of Frati Bay on Elba Island composed of tiny white stones that change color in the sun.

Pink Marina, the new women’s EDT by Trussardi Parfums, is dedicated to this special moment. Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich has created an olfactory memoir in which the zestful notes of pink grapefruit blend with the fresh, addictive notes of cantaloupe sorbet and the sparkling energy of lemon juice.  This initial luminous freshness is joined by a novel accord: a refined and well-balanced blend of neroli, sand lily and sea salt. The circle closes with a sensual and creamy conclusion of sandalwood and cedarwood with patchouli.

The Pink Marina bottle is made of white glass with pink stripes that allude to patterns on the sand formed by the wind. The square bottle with beveled edges has aluminum trim on two sides in the same shade of pink as the zamak cap circled by a grosgrain ribbon. The glossy white cardboard box with pink stripes has a quadrangular shape and features silver lettering.

The visual campaign presents the bottle on a beach of white sand with pink nuances in front of a large stylized pink wave that brings to mind the spirals of a modern art installation and also evokes sinuous, delicate femininity.

Style as a necessity and elegance expressed through a constant search for beauty, virtue and truth: this is the magic of Trussardi, a historic Italian brand.

To celebrate 100 years of successes, it launched two new olfactory creations in 2011 inspired by the iconic fragrances of the 1980s: Trussardi Donna and Trussardi Uomo.

The centennial fragrances are now the starting point for the Levriero Collection, a limited edition for gifting and collecting. In both cases the concentration has been strengthened: Eau de Parfum Intense for her, Eau de Parfum for him. The bottles and packaging are unique: like two small sculptures, each is contained inside a gold-trimmed box.

The idea of luxury and quality that the brand of the greyhound has been able to express in all aspects of contemporary life has remained unchanged. But now this black and white story enters the realms of dreams and magic. We start from yin (black) and yang (white), masculine and feminine, sun and moon, light and shadow, positive and negative, revelation and mystery, hot and cold, strength and lightness.

TRUSSARDI DONNA EAU DE PARFUM INTENSE

The fragrance belongs to the oriental-floral olfactory family. The head notes create a luminous, fruity aura with a skillful blend of yuzu, citron and water fruits. The heart notes bloom with the velvet femininity of Osmanthus, orange blossom, water lilies and jasmine tea. The base notes release the profound sensuousness of woods: cedar, sandalwood, white patchouli and vanilla.

TRUSSARDI UOMO EAU DE PARFUM

The fragrance belongs to a typically masculine olfactory family: fougère-woody. The fresh Italian elegance of lemon, bergamot, galbanum and nutmeg emerge in the head notes. The heart is characterized by the refined virility of a blend of clary sage, geranium and violet leaves. The apotheosis of strength and sensuality comes with the base notes: patchouli, moss accord, leather accord, akigalawood (a precious fractional note of patchouli) and sandalwood.

Elegant yet unconventional, Sound of Donna is a fragrance that leaves no one indifferent. It belongs to a new olfactory family: Oriental Floral/Gourmand/Woody. In the vivacious head notes, tangerine juice flirts with crisp green almonds and the incomparable freshness of magnolia. In the heart notes, the hypnotic sensuality of tuberose is enhanced by the undisputed femininity of the rose and the caressing softness of heliotrope. In the base notes, there is a subtle balance of three elements that usually contrast with one another: sandalwood, patchouli and the Mont Blanc accord. The last ingredient is the true star of the entire creation.

THE BOTTLE

The dominant color of the packaging and bottle is Pantone 18-3838 Ultra Violet, the 2018 Color of the Year. It is an intensively provocative and reflective shade of violet able to communicate originality, ingenuousness and a visionary thought that traces the path for the future. Enigmatic violets have always been a symbol of counter-culture, unconventionality and artistic inspiration. The other shade is silver, which appears in the logo and the name embossed in relief, on the sides of the box and on the bottle, which is framed by two shiny aluminum bands. The same material is found on the bottle where the T-shaped logo is carved: the initial of Trussardi and the first symbol of the brand. Wavy horizontal lines are embossed in relief on the packaging and on the bottle: a rebellious and irregular reinterpretation of the musical staff. The bottle design has no distinct front and back view so it can be admired from every angle without a pre-established perspective. It is another metaphor of a woman who leaves her mark in the form of sound.

An intense portrait of a woman was created by Emma Tempest, a sophisticated fashion and lifestyle photographer born and raised in Cornwall and now dividing her time between London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. The woman is Annalisa, the beautiful 33-year-old singer/songwriter who made her debut on the “Amici” talent show in 2011 (she won the special Critics Award) and has already successfully participated in four editions of the Sanremo Song Festival. This year her magnificent song “Il mondo prima di te” won third place. Views of the music video have exceeded 21 million. Annalisa — with a degree in physics, over 800 thousand followers in Instagram and a boundless passion for music — is the perfect celebrity testimonial for the new Trussardi Parfums fragrance, Sound of Donna. Her lithe figure in a pair of skin-tight leather pants under a tailored jacket stands out against the cobalt blue sky of Milan at dawn. Her full red lips are slightly parted. Perhaps she is smiling, perhaps she’s about to kiss the love of her life; she is certainly singing and making enchanting sounds. This is Sound of Donna, as the silver lettering says on the Ultra Violet glass bottle appearing beside her on the page.
